I am currently taking part in the “Mail-Art im und vom Schriftmuseum” International Mail Art Exhibition at the Schriftmuseum Bartlhaus in Pettenbach, Austria. The exhibition can be visited until October 27, 2024.
The Bartlhaus in Pettenbach is the only Austrian museum dedicated to the art of writing in its various forms. Changing exhibitions show works by Austrian and international calligraphy artists and thematic compilations of bookplates.
Permanent exhibitions invite you to get to know the work of the house’s founding fathers. The attached printing workshop houses unique printing presses and printing machines, all of which are fully functional and in use during printing demonstrations. The Pettenbach local history museum is also housed in the Bartlhaus. Calligraphy courses take place regularly in the scriptorium.
